How I Show Up on 5 Platforms without Creating 5x Content
My simple content distribution system
I became a mom 2 months ago, and my newest obsession is simplifying my business as much as possible so I can be present for my baby girl.
But at the same time, I want to grow my brand in 2026, build authority and double my revenue. So I created a simple content distribution system - minimum effort invested, and maximum exposure. Let me share it with you.
First, some more context:
I’ve been running a blogging business without social media for many, many years. But things have changed online.
We can’t ignore the fact that Google isn’t what it used to be, and SEO is…well, not what it used to be either. Relying on organic traffic from search engines is becoming a mission impossible for most creators.
Pinterest changes its algorithm too and some accounts see a lot of growth, while others don’t.
And while almost any other platform is often changing its algorithm, requires a specific approach and a lot of posting, there are some that simply give you more exposure in less time.
Two I’m focusing on are Instagram and TikTok. There’s massive potential for anyone, in any niche. You just have to post a lot, find your angle, play by the rules of social media, and find your people on the platform.
I’m now trying to post multiple times a day on both of these platforms. Luckily, it’s the same post or video on both, so there’s no extra time.
I then added a third one to the equation: YouTube, but only for shorts.
The results were immediate.
In fact, one of the first videos was seen by 1,400 people in its first 15 hours. And it took me an extra 30 seconds to upload, right after I posted it on IG and TikTok.
Simple, right?
One video might flop on IG, but take off on YouTube. You never know. And you only need one to hit.
More entry points = more authority signals.
In addition, I can take the text (or expand on the idea/message if it’s a video) and post it on LinkedIn and as a Note on Substack.
These platforms are ideal for thought leadership. You can get discovered by a different type of people and start deeper conversations.
That same text/idea/message from this one post can also be send to your email newsletter, of course. They too deserve to hear it.
And there you have it.
One piece of content, often it’s just 1 idea, tip or thought.
Appears in 5+ places online.
This increases the chances of one of them getting more attention 5x.
This grows my reach on 5 platforms.
This builds my overall expertise online.
These are all points of entry to my email list/sales funnel/online world, and a step closer to someone investing to work with me (through my digital products).
A few more things that keep the system simple:
I don’t create separate content for every platform.
I create once, then I distribute strategically.
I have one filming day every now and then (usually in my home office) and record a lot of content during it.
The same idea can be shared multiple times, from different angles. Most people don’t see most of your posts, so talk about the same thing more than once.
If you’ve been doing that for some time but haven’t seen results, don’t give up. Change something small and post regularly for 30 to 90 days to see how it goes. Then, tweak something else and test.
Once a post or video performs well, study it and replicate its success.
What do you think?
What platforms are you publishing content on? How often?
