Welcome to The 2-Hour Blogger
A quick intro to my publication and the purpose behind it
My publication is now live!
The name was easy to come up with, because it’s the name I had planned for a new book. But let’s face it: we live in a world where it’s better to put your valuable content out there on platforms like Substack than in a book on Amazon that no one might even buy.
Let me share a bit about my mission here, because in my business journey, it’s always been about the value I provide in the new spaces I join.
I’ve been blogging and creating content since 2013, and naturally started teaching blogging as a business. My expertise is sponsorships - helping bloggers land brand partnerships and turn that into recurring revenue.
I teach it for a few simple reasons.
First, it’s how I earn 90% of my revenue.
Second, that’s been the case for me for many, many years.
Third, there’s a gap in the blogging space when it comes to how bloggers can earn from sponsorships, and I am here to fill it. I disclose it all, have developed my own strategies for client pitching, being discovered, maximizing the benefits of sponsored networks, negotiating your rates, using your content to attract more sponsors, and so much more. So I have a lot to teach.
I cover it all in my course The Blog Sponsorship Boss, and often publish about it on my blogs, in my newsletter, and on socials.
Why the 2-Hour Blogger?
Because one of the best things about my business in the last years is that I’ve been working very little, taking time off whenever I feel like, and still earning a full-time income.
I’m here to show you that:
Blogging is not dead.
Sponsorships can be recurring revenue for bloggers.
Your blog’s authority is way more important than page views (I used to hit 1 million page views in 1 year back in 2019-2020. Now it’s almost 10x less, but my revenue from sponsorships is more. So there are many more factors that come into play.)
If you’re a blogger earning anywhere from $2K to $10K/month but haven’t tapped into sponsorships, you’re leaving money on the table, and that’s where I can help.
You can work 1-3 hours a day, and not every day, and still earn a full-time income as a blogger, specifically from sponsorships.
The blogging space is changing, Google is not the most reliable source of traffic anymore, ad revenue is not what it used to be (in fact, last year I removed Mediavine ads from my site and became ad-free), and yet, brands are investing so much in working with bloggers, and that includes small publishers too. There are strategic things you can do to get on their radar, approach them, make changes to your blog and content strategy, and form relationships with sponsors. I’m here to show you how that works.
So that’s what The 2-Hour Blogger stands for.
I’ll be talking about blogging and business too, but the strategic part will be about sponsorships. I will be sharing new sponsored networks I discover and join, disclosing some of my paid deals as well as my monthly income, sharing new strategies, discussing how the industry is changing, and what new ways I come up with to optimize my blogging business, create more strategic content, grow my brand as a blogger, and form long-term relationships with sponsors.
Join me on this journey and let’s unleash more of your blog’s potential.
